How does the weather look for everyone? Looks like the good side of average for us here in the GOM. Hope to have some good pictures or stories. Rag’s

Yea, looks pretty good in north central gulf. I'm still down but my dad and nephew are taking the boat out looking for snapper and trigger. I hope it comes back in one piece.

Well today was a total bust! Left the dock at 6:45 with a head wind and seas. It was slow going but we made it out to 125 feet but by that time the storm clouds that were north of us had found us. Seas grew to 3+ feet with holes that were 5-6 feet. We bumped the bottom for an hour or so as the storm passed buy with no luck. 8 oz eggs and we could not find the bottom. So we packed it up and headed home with fallowing seas and 6 footers. Not THT ones. I worked the wheel and throttle and was able to run between 18 and 22 mph back home completely soaked for 35 miles back to the inlet. Got back to the marina and was completely impressed once again by the old girl. Rag’s

Rags, some days just goes like that. But I promise I would trade a day sitting on my hurt butt for a day like that. A bad day fishing beats most anything else.

At this point in your recovery when do you think you'll actually be able to get back out on the water given how rough things can get when you're offshore? And before you say it I know that in your case you're probably safer offshore than when you're tied up to the dock.

I go see the surgeon in 2 weeks. I hope he will let me do a little more, but realistically I'm thinking end October.
You got me on safer offshore vs at dock. I deserved that one.

I was thinking that that thought had already crossed your mind because out there you're constantly aware and on guard; situational awareness. Back at the dock the mind relaxes and then bad things happen. The end of October seems like it's a long ways off still. I'm sure you're looking forward to getting back out there!
