Over the summer one of my rigging tube connections into the engines broke. So I took the opportunity to replace all the rigging tubes and connections. The rigging tubes themselves had a lot of cracking too. I also moved the primer bulbs from the splash well and into the bilge. This way the bulbs will not be exposed to direct sunlight, and hopefully will not degrade as often. I typically had to replace the primer bulbs every 4 to 5 years. I also had to create a plate to cover the small hole for the fuel hose above the main access hole. I used a 1/4" starboard to make a simple circular plate. If anybody wants the old rigging connections, PM me and just pay for the shipping.

Good work. I was thinking about doing the same this winter.

Looks great! That is not a small job. How long did it take you?

Looks great, my hoses are cracked as well so I'll be tackling this over the winter.
Although aren't the arrows on the primer bulbs supposed to be pointing up? I'm not sure if that matters since they're mounted higher now, but I know there's a check valve inside of them.

I think he has them correct, pointed towards engines in direction of desired fuel flow.

In all it took about 5 hours to do both engines. It was not that bad of a job. I took my time and had some nice cold beers while doing the work.
The arrows point in the direction of the fuel flow. The primer bulbs are between the 10 micron filter and the engines, so the fuel flows from the filter to the engines.

Just reading up on this. About to do the same I think. My fuel lines have been gunking up filters now and have cracked. I think the sun is going to repeat the wear on them unless I do something like this to remove exposure. Looks good. Trying to find the exact type of line used to go into the engine to buy and replace, running from the primer bulb.

I did this last winter as well...it’s nice to have the bulbs out of the way.
Instead of making new pieces to cover where the fuel lines go through the transom, I just used the stock black plastic rings and 4000’d a black rubber plug into the fuel line hole. You really don’t notice it unless you’re looking for it.

Does anyone recall or have the Fuel Line type/# for the softer line that goes into the motors? I am trying to find the right one on SIM Yamaha and can only find the thicker A1 below deck line.
