Hello everyone.
I 've been a Robalo 2140 WA owner since 95 but I am now looking at a new Sailfish 220 CC or a 232CC Advance. Any good or bad on these two are welcome by me. Thanks

Hopefully you'll get an answer from an 220 or 232 owner, but since I moved from a Robalo R207 to a Sailfish 245DC I can tell you you'll be happy with a move to Sailfish. Welcome aboard.

Welcome, my 2004 218 that is now a 220 is an awsome boat. IMO this will be a huge all around Improvement over your Robalo.

Welcome. Only thing I would say is get the bigger boat. You won't regret it. I went from a Key West 2300 which I really liked to a Sailfish 2660 and couldn't be happier. You will like the sailfish.

Welcome aboard. I've owned many different brands of boats over the years including Whaler, Mako, Aquasport and now Sailfish. I will never own another brand, love my Sailfish! My only move will be to move up in size eventually...with the wife's blessing of course and after my kids are done with college!

Welcome, my 2004 218 that is now a 220 is an awsome boat. IMO this will be a huge all around Improvement over your Robalo. Thank you for your post. Do you or have you own a 2140 WA Robalo? I bough my new back in 1995 and yes the Mercury motors smokes like all two cycles older motors do and yes they do like gas and yes they have wood in them and so on but so does GW and I believe others too. I will tell you this...for been a 21fter. boat back then and now I don't think you can find a better built boat, just ask around. 25 years later and been in salt water, all the ss looks like new, like new! If you are talking solid...All you need to do is hit the sides from rail all the way to the bottom, it is solid! The sound is all the same all the way up and down, try that with most if not all of today's boats under 25-26ftrs. Having said that, I also understand that the Robalo quality 21' and under today is not what it used to be , in fact, I have looked at the new 222 and walked away. The boat still a good quality boat but the metal is not as it used to be and the layout is not great. There is only a very few 21-22 fters. today that can even come close to the quality that "used to be" in the older Robalos.

Never owned one fish on 1 years ago quite a few times. As far as being a solid boat what you're describing fits the Sailfish brand. As far as things being built the way they used to be those days are over. Most industries do look for ways to cuts corners to lower their costs some more than othets.
