I don't know of an inexpensive one, but if you switch to north-up when you're fishing the spinning will stop. I prefer north up when I'm drift fishing too because it's much easier for me to see how the drift changes over time and when I need to go up to the top of the drift I can adjust as needed.

The next time I'm drift fishing I'm going to try switching to North up and see how that works out.

Congrats on the install Glen.
Regarding drift fishing, don't you guys use the tracking line to see the drift? I prefer Heading-Up rather than North-Up so I don't get confused with my right and left.
Went shark fishing yesterday just south of the wind turbines. Hooked up with a small blue shark which was fun to fight. When I put the rod in the holder to snip the leader, the shark took off and snapped my rod. Expensive little hobby we have. I spoke with my tackle shop and they might be able to swap it out under Penn's warranty. We shall see.

I usually do you use the drift line zoomed in very close it's quite accurate I never was a fan of the north up because everything appears backwards. That's a shame the shark snap the pole that's just bad luck at least this trip you guys didn't get skunked.
