Apparently this captn is pretty well known. He just had that boat built too. Has twin outboard which is very rare to see on a Chesie deadrise.

Interesting situation. The sailboat appears to be the stand-on vessel, but had it been two power boats the boat on the right side would have been the stand-on vessel. I don't see any water being pumped from the sailboat, so it doesn't look like he was using auxiliary, which I believe would have then made him the give-way vessel. Autopilot maybe? I hope you get a chance to see the accident report.
