Well, I finished the transducer install and it looks great. Looking forward to running it this weekend. As for the ventilation, I am able to manage it pretty well thus far so we'll see if there are any issues in various seas and situations. I am at 17.5 hrs on my Yamaha 150s was wondering if it is better to go a few hrs over the 20 hr service or do the service now. Any guidance appreciated.
I also was going to post a pic of the ducer mount but am not sure how to include a pic in the post.

Nice.
Get the 20 done now while it's still on the hard.

I should have been more specific. I trailer the boat and will do the service myself, so it is really about if it is better to do the service at 17.5 hrs or ~23 hrs. I may be overthinking and it may not matter.

I dont think it matters but I would get it done before rather than after in case you run into some motor/warranty related issue between now and your 100 hr service. You dont want to be denied because you exceeded the first service by 3 hrs. Not saying they would but why risk potentially giving Yamaha an out if you encounter a major problem. It's easy enough to do.

Let us know how the transducer works. As far has service, a couple hours will not matter.

Planning on getting out this weekend so will post how the transducer worked out. In the meantime here is a pic of the install. The bright stripes on each side are reflections off the hull

Good luck this weekend. I hope the new ducer puts you on the fish.

Well she ran great. The new ducer performed well and clearly held bottom at all speeds. The B75M also holds bottom but it gets a bit broken up as it did previously. Did not detect additional ventilation but will be using in additional situations over time. Will keep in mind the 4 prop solution. if needed...Thanks
