Hello, all.
My wife and I just pulled the trigger on a 2007 218CC. We've worked with dozens of hulls all over the Caribbean and Florida for years and fell in love with the 218 almost immediately after the hole shot on our test drive. We're chomping at the bit to put some hours on her this weekend. In the meantime, I've been trying to slake my excitement with reading about Sailfish and the 218 online. Came across this forum and decided to check it out. We are both marine ecologists and live and work in the Florida Keys.
Cheers, Jason

Welcome aboard. Lots of Sailfish owners in Florida. You using the boat for ecology work or for pleasure?

Welcome aboard. Lots of Sailfish owners in Florida. You using the boat for ecology work or for pleasure? Thank you, we're definitely excited to join the family. We'll use it here and there for research, we're only 3-5 miles from some of the reefs we work on and the boat seems like a fine dive platform. It's a personal boat, though, and we're planning to use it to really beef up the "life" end of our work-life balance. Cheers, Jason

Hi Jason welcome aboard! You picked a great hull, one of the best riding 21'cc on the water. We had a 2008 that we bought amidst the last recession. Great boat.

Welcome to the Forum Jason. I have a 2660 and fish out of Vero Beach/Ft. Pierce. Where in Florida you. This is my second Sailfish and I couldn’t be more happy with the brand. You’re going to love everything about the new boat. Congrats

Hi Jason welcome aboard! You picked a great hull, one of the best riding 21'cc on the water. We had a 2008 that we bought amidst the last recession. Great boat. Thank you! I pick the boat up tomorrow morning and we are very eager to get on the water. I agree, the ride was amazing when we went to check it out. We fell in love almost immediately. The only thing I'm not sure about yet is how stable it'll sit at anchor for diving. Plenty of beam, but the deep vee definitely seems like it might be a bit tippy. Even so, I'll take a rocking boat at the dive site over a pounding ride out every time! Cheers, Jason

You’re going to love everything about the new boat. Congrats Thank you, glad to have found the community! I've done a bit of work out of the St. Lucie inlet in the past, great place! We're in the Keys, about 5 minutes from Big Pine. We're thrilled to hear over and over again that Sailfish was a good choice. We couldn't be more eager to get her out on the water! Cheers, Jason

Love the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge. Sadly I haven’t returned to it since the hurricane. We were planning a keys trip this summer until the pandemic. If they open the keys I hope to make it in June or July.

If they open the keys I hope to make it in June or July. That's awesome, they're just down the road from us. The Keys have changed a lot since Irma and they've buttoned things up pretty good since the pandemic hit. I have to say it's not all bad...I can't say that I haven't enjoyed the lack of traffic this Spring...but the economy down here is built on tourism, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that things lay down and they can open the county up again soon! If you manage to get down here in June/July definitely drop us a line.
