I don't understand all the destruction in these communities by protesters where they live. What the hell are these people thinking. Our law enforcement people need to come down HARD on these azzholes and put an end to this disrespect. I hope the burning of St John's Church is the final straw.

There are "protesters" and then there orchestrated and funded agitators and anarchists. Seemingly the latter group making up for the majority of those hitting the streets.
There are videos of randomly placed pallets of bricks and pavers where there is no construction going on. That's all I'll say about that.

Some see a protest as a chance to make a positive change. Some see it as an opportunity to get some loot. Some, like Antifa, see it as a chance to destroy America from within.

What I see, more than anything, is weak leaders. These mayors and governors who are somehow afraid that if they don't allow the protests to take a violent turn, they will be deemed racist or unsympathetic to the loss of that guy's life scares the crap out of them. I'm sure all the facts aren't in, but based on the facts I have seen, that cop was flat out wrong. That said, burning up a church or police station doesn't do anything to solve that problem, robbing a nike store doesn't either. I find it hard to believe that in 2020, in America, I actually typed the sentence burning down a police station......
WTF?!?

Didn't you love the 'curfew' in NYC of 11PM. Another WTF. How in the world would anyone think a curfew starting at 11PM is a smart way to ensure safety and no violence? At least tonight it starts a 8PM and maybe if they actually enforce it, things will calm down.
I think the protests are justified and nothing should be done to stop peaceful protests. But this mess that our 'leaders' (difficult to call them leaders right now) are allowing and seem to actually be encouraging, needs to be stopped. Business in America has already been hurt by the virus and allowing the looting and destroying is going to have long term effects. I remember the MLK riots and it was years before grocery stores moved back into the poor areas of town. These riots will be handled similarly and business will abandon areas they see as vulnerable, or where insurance costs go through the roof.

Rules and laws are for the law abiding.
It is ignorant to think that those who are rioting, vandalizing and assaulting people are going to follow a curfew.

You've got to start arresting those that break laws, or they'll only be seen as 'suggestions'. Then you have celebrities and organizations creating bail for them

This store is not exactly my cup of tea, nothing wrong with it I suppose, but just not where I'd shop, but hat's off to the CEO of Saks Fifth Ave. He put up razor wire outside his flagship store and had private security with "At least seven German shepherds, Belgian Malinois and pit bull dogs were also on hand, along with guards who will use them to patrol outside the store in an attempt to deter looters....God willing, I hope they don’t show up and it goes smoothly, one guard said. The guard noted that the dogs aren’t friendly."
At least this CEO had the stones to do what it takes to protect his store, company, and investors. If only the politicians in charge had the same spine...

Very well spoken footy3. I think anyone in his position would do the same.
