My new to me 2012 2680 has a couple small dings in the gelcoat that I'd like to repair. I purchased a small Overcoat Marine kit with paste, hardener and several colors of tint. My boat is the factory white, but it's not the white of the paste in the kit. The kit list 4 different whites: white, cream, almond, off-white and light stone. I started with off white, but that wasn't it.
Anyone have experience that can help me get closer? Does any company offer Sailfish gelcoat colors?
Appreciate the help. Maybe I should call Sailfish customer service. Thanks

Years ago I bought some gel coat from Sailfish. I don't have it any more or recall exactly which number white it was. Try to call Sailfish for your match.

With a boat that is 8 yrs old, even if you got matching gelcoat from the factory it wont match exactly, thanks to UV degradation. I had a big patch job done 2 yrs ago and what I learned was, white is the toughest color to match - something like 50+ variations. Hiring a pro to mix and match the current color is best. Otherwise, Spectrum sells a Sailfish gelcoat patch/repair kit but dont be surprised if it doesnt match either. spectrumcolor-com.3dcartstores.com/SAILFISH-WHITE-INTERIOR-10-18_p_694.html

I agree with fishnfool. Almost every boat I've had at some point needed some fiberglass work. I've found the guys who are really good at matching the color so you don't even know it was patched. My brand new Sailfish came with damage from delivery. The fiberglass guy was going to get gel coat from Sailfish, but after looking at the boat he decided he could match it..and he did.

I called Sailfish and they were helpful. They said that HK Research provided the gelcoat for my year 2680, and the number is LHM 2431. He also mentioned Spectrum color and "Sailfish White" Thanks for the link. This all helps.
