Of course this shit goes on while I'm on vacation!
It's a slow leak and it is leaking from behind at the joint between the motor and the main unit. I guess there like 5 small o rings in there that can go bad (part 26). From what I hear getting the Allen bolts out can be a bitch or even impossible as they tend to seize.
Not much I can do about while I'm on a small island. I brought a quart of hydrochloric fluid to add if it gets to low. These are small infrequent drips. Just a nuisance is all and I dont like to have things leaking when I'm 40 miles offshore. I think it's been dripping for a year or 2 but I also think it has gotten worse this year.

But the water is...right...there. I wouldn't let that ruin my vacation, just keep your motor trimmed down, lol.

Big screwdriver! Locate that pressure relief valve then you know you can get it down. You can worry about up back at the ramp!

Alright done deal.
I do have to trim it up idling to/from the ramp esp if its low tide, water is really skinny on the backside of the island
I have a quart of fluid so I can jump in the water if I have to add some more at the dock. It's a real slow drip. Motor seems to be trimming fine. I'll top it off tomorrow before I put her in.

Chris mine leak for an entire season a slow leak like that. Fill the reservoir and don't worry about it it takes weeks if not a month before it will not function due to low fluid. We had these conversations over the winter it's exactly what happened to mine on my starboard motor. When you get back I'll talk to you about the tricks we learned breaking the motor free from the unit to get at those O-rings

BTW your boat looks awesome. Don't let that drip stop you from using the boat have a great time.

Did you have any problems with those Allen bolts?

Hope you can enjoy the vacation and hold off the worry until you get back. From having a similar leak on a previous boat, I think fanatic might be right about filling it up and worrying later. I had mine out several times while leaking and it was fine and I just held off any messing around with the trim except when I had to.
Boat is looking sharp.

Hey Chris get yourself a bottle of automotive power steering fluid stop leak... it will get you through your vacation and then some. I had the same issue and that product got me through an entire season. Good luck and enjoy your vacation. Pete

But here I sit, boat still in the driveway..... HA! I just got the boat in and tied off at the dock. Would have been a nice day but I dont feel bad, other than Wed looks like it's going to be nice through the weekend and into next week thanks to the low pressure system. We may try to shoot out to an AR this afternoon for some AJ fun. Guy I know was bailing mahi in 80 ft of water. I've got to slowly pick my way around and through the inlet, things got a little messed up from Dorian.
