They extended our return to the office until early August, not that I'm complaining. I'm working still just remotely.
How about you guys?

We are working since May 1st. We started in the mornings for the month of May and then full time since June 1st for the administrative personnel, classes still are taught On line, the only students we receive are the ones that need to practice in our labs, and they need to wear masks, and we check them every time they access our facilities. No problems as of today. For what we received from the Florida DOE, we will be doing this at least until December, specially in Miami, if we keep testing positive at the same rate, will pass the 100K mark in 10 days. We have 74K as of yesterday.

Not yet, but I report for re-training 1 Aug. Because you have been grounded your required to go through some type of training before flying again. Is there a certain amount of days Grounded before you have to go for training again.

Actually, they retired the plane I was flying before (MD-88/90) so now they are going to re-train me to fly the 737.
But to answer your question, what you are asking about is what we call currency. You are considered current as long as you have 3 takeoffs and 3 landings in the last 90 days. If you don’t have that they run you through the simulator to get it then send you on your way.

My buddy who flies for SW said in an effort to thin the heard SW was offering a lot of the pilots, including him, packages to volunteer to retire early. He's close to retirement but isnt ready yet.

I've been back in the office since May 1st. Support Staff returned June 1st. Students scheduled to return August 10th. We have our reopening plan ready and awaiting board approval this week. Cases have been rapidly increasing in Florida so we are really day by day.

I enjoyed work, but now several years into my 2nd retirement - so no back to work for me. Kids..Son works from home 6-7 days a week and that hasn't changed. Oldest daughter had to stop her 3-4 work trips per month, but in the office 3 days a week and 2 days work from home. Youngest working in Dallas 5-6 days per week in an office that's 'essential'.
It's good they all stayed at work, but they're all disappointed we won't have a big family get together at the Outer Banks this year. None of them want to take a chance on exposing their mom to COVID, so this year has been really messed up.
Hope the rest of you get back to whatever normal is for this year. Our normal won't happen until some medical breakthrough occurs. At least I have time for all those projects I never had time to take care of around the house and I don't have to do any shopping except online.

Never missed a day other than taking off to go fishing. I’m in insurance and have an office in a rural town. A lot of work switched to phone an internet but I still have a lot of walk-in.

as long as you have 3 takeoffs and 3 landings if you have 3 takeoffs and not 3 landings retraining got to be the least of your worries!

Haven't missed a day at the office other than vacation and fishing...in the concrete industry, but not out in the field.
