Will a 2004 266CC with 2006 250 Suzuki 4stroke be under powered?

Is that a “no”definitely not enough for an off shore boat. Is it worth the 3 hour road trip to go take the boat for a ride? What are these boats rated for HP?

I have the same boat with twin 250 Yamaha's. I see a lot of them with twin 150's. More power is better. Unfortunately I would think with a single 250 it would have a hard time getting out of it's own way. They are rated for 500 hp.

I agree with everything said above, however, if you wanted to get a quick feel for the boat, ask the seller to send you a video of the boat going from dead stop to plane, and focusing on the instrument panel, speed at 3000 rpm, 3500 rpm, 4000 rpm etc. Maybe the 250 zuke has some magic no one knows about. Costs you nothing to look at the videos. I have a 245 DC, which is the same hull as the 241 CC, but 350 pounds heavier, with a 250 Yamaha. That engine is fine for my boat, but on a 2 foot longer boat, 6 inches more beam, and another 500 pounds on top of mine, I would think you'd be way, way under powered.

Footy3,
Good suggestion. But after asking the guy what it gets for fuel consumption/mileage he said, "I put gas in it in the beginning of summer, and I don't have to put gas it in it till the end of summer" I think I'm done pursuing that one.
But I like your idea...
