Lmao......that’s funny. I have been trying to see the boat for a week. He must be a hard worker. I can’t get him to leave work to show me the boat.

I agree on the survey, even more so having a Yamaha mechanic look at the motors.
Last two boats I’ve bought, the price was agreed upon but contingent on a mechanic inspecting the motors...in both cases, issues were found, a quote for repair was given and agreed upon by myself and the seller and that amount was deducted from the selling price. In both cases, I made the repairs myself with the savings covering the cost of inspection and a bit more...worked out for everyone, imo. Key to me is the price was agreed upon before hand on the overall condition of the boat.

No sense spending money on a survey or inspection, then finding out you are thousands away on price. Agree the price, get the inspections, if repairs need to be done seller can do them or walk away.

I finally got to see the boat!!!!!! So on Thursday he agrees to meet at the boat on sat at 10am. Friday night I text him and ask him for and address. I told him I know the boat is an hour away but not sure where. I finally get a text sat morning at 9am,when I’m supposed to leave, with the address and “ I’m sorry I won’t be able to meet you today....but my dad can.” I’m thinking that explains it. He’s a kid. So I get there 5 min early and call the father and get no answer. I walk around the docks and find the boat. It’s 2011 I was expecting to see a boat in good shape. Think this boat has seen some tuff winters. Caulking is all loose around the gunnels. Stress cracks around the rod holders. Gages were cracked. About 4 raw hide bones piled on top of the scuppers on one side and I’m not to sure was stuck in the other scupper. So around 6:15 dad calls and asks when I’m leaving? I said,” I’m leaving now”. He says “well long does it take you to get here.” I said, “No...I have been looking at the boat for 15 minutes. I’m taking my 35k in cash and going home.” He says “I can be there in 10 minutes.” To late. In dads defense... don’t think he had a clue he was supposed to meet me at 10am.

Maybe I’m off base here and don’t mean to be a asshat but $35K for a 2011 2360 seems quite low to me and I wouldn’t be expecting much as far as condition of the boat.

Agreed, take your time that boat was not to be. Keep looking you will find the right boat to fit your budget. Funny thing photos can make any P.O.S. look good.
