I will be the first to admit I have a bit of a problem when it comes to trying out these various spray products and detailers. I've purchased and tried most of them. I must have a half dozen different types of spray waxes/sealants/nano ceramic coating sprays, waterless carwash sprays and detail sprays sitting in my work room.
So yet AGAIN I was lured into trying another product, Adams Slick and Slide, that claims to provide unparalleled slickness and shine while providing a Hydrophobic level of protection from the cross linking polymers.
I applied Slick and Slide a week or so after polishing/sealing my top sides. I wanted to be sure I was applying it to a clean, shiney restored surface. The product sprayed and wiped off like any spray detailer, streak free and no residue. I applied it with a microfiber towel wiping it away, then turning the rag over to use the clean dry side to buff the surface to a shine.
First impression, WOW, it really seemed to enhance the shine of my white gelcoat. And damn if the surface isnt slick. DO NOT apply it non skid.
It's been on the boat for a couple of weeks now on top of the sealant wax I applied 3+ weeks ago and the gelcoat is still really shiney and this through a couple of rains. I applied the product again today and BOOM it really brings out some extra luster in the white gelcoat. I washed the boat Sunday so the surface was pretty clean already.
Very impressed. I will definitely be keeping this product in the arsenal and using it routinely as a maintenance detail spray. Pics from today after application.
Important to note this is NOT a substitute for polishing and waxing. This product designed to bring out some additional luster and provide an extra layer of maintenance protection to gelcoat that is already in good shiny condition
A little shout out to Woodys Wax. LUV the stuff. Look at that water beeding on the deck. I just reapplied it after a couple of months. I find it really works well on the Sailfish designed nonskid.
