Tax man got his cut. Good job! Even more surprising is that it took two guys to hold it up! We catch rainbow runners off of St. Augustine, Florida on occasion, but not very often. Do you recall what depth you were at?

About the same depth, I've caught them on a Navy dry dock in about 160 feet. Whenever we've gotten one that's all we got, just the one.

That's a pretty big blue runner. The last one I caught was in about 1000 feet out from Venice LA.

What really surprised me was after tying up to a nearby rig, I went snorkeling and saw about a hundred cudas. That's far more than I've ever seen at a rig.
