W.O.T. 5900 rpms 52 mph 1.5 gpm. 31 gallons an hour. This was the first time in 8yrs I ran WOT. Only for about 60 seconds. Crazy the only thing in the water at that speed is the props. Lol Wouldn't 1.5 gpm = 90 gallons an hour, not 31?!

Twin 150's on a boat that has a dry weight of nearly 7000 pounds and a rigged weight of 8500 pounds?!?!?! WTF?? Is this some sort of marketing ploy to keep the overall cost of the boat down and lure in some novice boaters who wouldn't know any better to buy the boat?? I like the 58.7 GPH at 5500RPM, seriously?!

I would have a huge problem burning 58.7 gallons per hour as you suggest. I don't’ burn near that. I would love to have 600HP but I wouldn’t be going any faster than I am now and the maintenance expense and cost of the engines would be quite a bit more. If my only concern was going fast on flat water, I would get a bay boat.

If my only concern was going fast on flat water, I would get a bay boat. My gripe is how horrible the performance numbers are on this boat. Ummm, since I own a Sailfish I would like to think that I am familiar with the hull design. Did you read the article? I did not suggest that it would burn 58.7 gallons per hour, that is what the performance numbers show. If you are good with that kind of performance I am happy for you.

Yea I did not and do not understand your post that I quoted. That’s why I asked. I think you clarified it. Sounded like you were saying you LIKE the fuel burn.
