Was out fishing, sun was setting, turned on my navy lights. Not sure what made me check but I checked to make sure my anchor light was on, NOPE. Nav lights worked. Looked under my zip up pfd net under my ttop to find the connection for the anchor light and sure as shit one of the butt splices came apart. I'm guessing since the damn things weren't sealed at all thay corrosion got to the wires. Of course the damn connection is under my pfg netting which makes it a bit difficult to get to fix. I refuse to undo all of the roping holding the netting up for a 30 second repair. I was thinking of going LED anyway and a light that was a bit taller for better visibility above my radar dome. So maybe I'll just make the switch now since I have to fix it anyway. Has anyone swapped their anchor light out? I prefer a similar style that I can fold down for trailering and storing the boat.

Funny, another winter update. Changing mine to a L.E.D. It's the original one with the two bulbs. It gave me shit all season long. It's on my list just didn't get to it yet.

It’s a damn pandemic starting here. Mine works but the base screws worked themselves loose from the hard top this summer. Going to see if I can fill the holes with 5200, drill new holes and resetting the light. I will Be installing LED if this doesn’t fix it so I’m interested in the lights you will be using

Does anyone know the brand of the light we have on our boats? No but I found a few that looked to be the same style mount. But their only 12" tall. I think we want at least 18" to have the height above our radar. I also know from working on mine sailfish barely leaves enough wire to reconnect a new unit. I tried to pull more wire through the top that's not happening.

I dont think so. They make an LED version which requires an adapter for it to work.
Except it is the same height, I'd prefer one slightly taller.

About to pull the trigger on a 2021 276 DC, Boattest.com has said good things about the boat... I have read some bad feedback on the DCs in "true hull" so wanted to come to the source... do you love the brand? Would you recommend it to a friend?

I am on my 2nd SF if that says anything about my satisfaction and I've put a lot of money into my current SF to make it even better for me. Excellent riding hulls. I think the 276 is a brand new hull design but would expect the ride to be comparable but perhaps more dry since it appears they redesigned the chines to knock more water down.
