Yea they're saying up 18" for western/northern MD.
Fortunately for me, only an inch or so. The benefits of living near the water with warmer air temps. Lol

fishnfool, move a few miles south. Just rain for us. Water temps still at 50, so even if it snowed it wouldn't stay long.
Granddaughter asked me to take her out Saturday so she can get more experience driving the boat. I want her to start using the autopilot some, but my guess is she'll want to drive the whole time. She just got in from St. Paul, MN and she's glad to be done with snow.
frantic, sorry about your predicted snow. Only faced that depth of snow one time and it was one time too many. Snow blew into my eaves and damaged my ceiling. Had 20' of snow pushed up against the side of the house. Happens again, and we're moving further south!

What’s this ‘snow’ you all speak of? 😁

I actually like a good snow storm. It's the slushy, sleety mess I don't care for. If it's going to be 30 degrees I'd rather snow than rain.

I feel for y’all weathering the storm. I start a 16 day vacation Saturday. The first 10 days forecast shows temps in mid 70s with 0-20% chance of rain. This will hopefully makeup for the shitty boating weather we’ve had the past three months.

Yup, we are looking at least 14" where I am. I said to my wife, "I'm already sick of winter..." At least I was smart enough to get the snowblower tuned up this Fall!

My son is excited and has been sending updates and pics from the city. Excuse his excitement as it’s his first storm as a New Yorker. He’s been through multiple hurricanes but they aren’t as enjoyable as a nice snow storm. Although he said the wind has been pretty nasty. I pray you all keep your power and aren’t isolated for too many days. Having endured many Vermont winters I’m well aware of what y’all are facing.

big snowstorm in NYC is really cool, for about 6 hours.....
Start out everything covered in a pristine white blanket, there's a silence to it that is foreign to NYC. Then the plows, and cabs and cars and buses start running through it, shopkeepers start piling it everywhere and it turns into a grey/black slushy mess lining the streets and sidewalks, with burrows cut out to get to crosswalks with ankle deep slush water at the beginning and end of every place you want to cross a street. He'll enjoy it until about 4 pm today....
