So I might take the advice I got from some of you knuckleheads and mount my LSS-2 transducer on the bottom of the V. This means I would need to screw into the hull from underneath, but I don't want to go all the way through. I figure 1" screws would give me a depth of 3/4" accounting for the transducer. Also, should I use some 5200 on it?

I opened a 4 inch round hole this summer to mount my through hull transducer. I would suggest using 3/4 inch screws. I'd say the hull is 5/8 thick. Don't use 5200 the 4200 will work fine and give you the option of removing one day.

X2 on the 4200. 1/2” screws should be enough.
