Has anyone skied off a 245DC? I am close to buying but curious if anyone has skied. Tubing, wakeboard should be no issue. But water skiing is a little more reliant on the wake being flat. Open for any comments.

My 2680 with twin engines makes a substantial wake. When I lived in Seattle, people who were into water skiing would skoff at a boat like this. The high gunwales are not ideal either.... but it's a great ride! And it gets me out to the fish in good time!

Haven't skied in quite a few years, but the wake of my 245 at skiing speed would work. No worse than a lot of the boats I skied behind. Hopping the wake would be fun. You might want a longer rope than you're used to. I had to lengthen the rope for the towable to get it out far enough, but otherwise it should be fine.

When I was a kid, we tied off to the strap loops on the back and people skied in the GOM behind an outboard powered deep vee. Looking at the photos, I think you need a nice long ski rope. I have skies but no place to use them so we haven’t bought a ski rope yet. I’d love an update and some pics from you on this thread when you get it worked out. We will be pulling a toy full of grand kids next Summer I suspect.
