Had a custom t top installed on the 2004 17 Offshore Cape Horn I sold in July.
I hated the t top during winter shrimping season, but loved it during hot weather.
I had to make a choice.
All boats are a compromise it seems.
So based on that, I chose no t top and will install a Bimini for hot weather that is removable when needed.

I agree about the compromise. I'm sure you'll enjoy the boat.

Nice boat I’ll bet it will fly without the top and 200 SHO.

What are you going to do to replace the bowlight? I assume the Rhodan mounting plate makes the anchor locker permanently closed?

What are you going to do to replace the bowlight? I assume the Rhodan mounting plate makes the anchor locker permanently closed? I had the factory build it without their typical pop up bow light. I installed two elliptical port and starboard LED nav. lights above the rub rails. The anchor locker isn't obstructed by the mounting plate. I bought TWO RHODAN mounting plates and used one of them underneath as a backing plate and the predrilled holes lined up perfectly. New VHF radio and antenna/hardware arrive tomorrow. Will do a flush mount in the dash for the VHF radio.

Maybe the 220 is modified from the 218 in the bow. I didn't think there would be enough room to mount a trolling plate without obstructing the anchor locker.
What length Rhodan did you go with? Have you had a chance to try it in choppy water as far as holding ability? Where did you mount the batteries?

I started a new thread showing pics of the mounting plate & the front nav. lights.
I have an 84".
I have not been able to use it yet.
Waiting on a 36 volt Lithium battery to arrive.
Ordered the battery from Dakota Lithium before Christmas.
That battery was on backorder, but it being less expensive than the competition, I decided to wait for it.
The battery will be mounted in a compartment SF designed for a slide-out Porta Potti (accessible from within the console).

I have the Porta Potti compartment on my 218 but it doesn't have a slide. That would be a good idea if a heavy battery is to go in there. Did Sailfish pre-wire for the trolling motor?
