Any of y’all had any luck mounting these transducers on the transom? I’m looking at the Garmin GT-30 and wondering if y’all have had any issues from the VDS hull while doing this. Any pictures of location would be much appreciated...this will be going on a 290 and thanks in advance.

Not really. I have a GT52 and mounted it starboard side close to keel. I get some interference from my port motor running side if I'm not going slow.

I'm mounting mine directly on keel.

I’m going to mount a Gt41...maybe this weekend and will probably put it as close to the keel as possible with a stern saver!

Think I’m going to put a stern saver here and then I can get the transducer as close to center as possible and out of the path of the props. Attachments:

In fairness I attached it to bottom paint but Transom Saver said I could. Lesson learned. After that I just screwed the damn thing in.
