I try to stay above the fray, but just have to comment this time. I always appreciate opposing views. You can't learn much if everyone has the same opinion that you do. This forum has provided for opposing views and doesn't seem to have gotten into personal attacks. And...it is mostly about fishing and boating.
So, I'm staying and sorry you've chosen not to. You will be missed. Hopefully others will join that can provide opposing opinions and respect others who don't agree with them. Part of what a lot of Americans (I apologize to Canadians and Mexicans who do not like the US inferring that only US citizens are Americans) are missing today is realizing that all of us contributing is what makes America great. Not all of what either 'side' offers is the only solution. I've always considered myself to the right of Barry Goldwater (look him up youngsters), but some of what the left offers makes sense too. I just wish we could somehow convince our politicians to go back to realizing that more progress is made through compromise than has ever been made by their battling and berating each other.

FYI, I started this post to get an idea of rising fuel prices across the country not as a political post unfortunately we had a member who turned it into that and I apologize for his stupidity. A barrel of oil has gone from $23 a barrel to over $64 a barrel in just over 30 days. It should raise concerns for everybody no matter what your views are it's going to affect our 2021 boating season.

I don't think you need to apologize for his stupidity. I felt badly for forum members last week when he turned my post into something it was not. It's almost like a joke, like he is a caricature of everything conservatives say about liberals, "If you don't agree with me I'm gonna yell and scream call you names and leave becasue you're a bad person."

3.29 a gallon for rec 90 at the gas station here in Georgia. It was 2.89 the last time I filled up the boat right before Christmas. It will probably be 4.00 by summer at this rate. Your electric bill will start rising next. That’s the only way to get this green deal stuff to work make energy so expensive that demand goes way down because only the very rich can afford it. I work maintenance in the power generation industry repairing steam turbines and I feel the next few years are going to be tight. The past three years were great almost as good as the early to mid 00s before the Obama years. Hopefully we get someone in there with some since in four years. But right now it’s scary maybe all this unnecessary avoidable crap going on it Texas will open a few peoples eyes. But it looks like the mainstream media (FAKE NEWS) is already putting their spin on it.

$2.80 a gallon for Diesel today when I filled up. I think it was around $2.40ish a couple months ago. Not good!

Well I hope President Trump was wrong yesterday during his speech at CPAC saying get ready for 5,6 and $7 per gallon for gasoline. X2, but since the intent is to push us to electric cars driving up the price of gas is logical to them. Just how many of people on the far left go hunting or fishing? Guess they don't see any need for a pickkup truck that can haul 10k. I doubt they even consider what their actions will do to the price of everything that depends on trucks or long haul.

Fueled up on Saturday. Did not need much only 40 gallons. Price has been the same all year $3.30 at Carolina Beach State Park. 87 Octane non ethanol. Not a bargain by any means. But it's run by the state so it takes a lot to change price.
