Hi all, We are headed to Florida in April and plan to rent a boat while we are there (a pontoon boat, the wives want a floating sofa). Was thinking of exploring the St. Lucie River and was hoping to get some local intel. Are there great restaurants along the way where you can pull up and dock? Any great sandbar areas to beach the boat and enjoy the sun? Any and all intel is appreciated, thanks!!

Went to Pecks lake and anchored on riverside as you suggested and then went up the trail to an amazing beach! Wow it was pretty!! From there pulled right up to the pier at Twisted Tuna and had an amazing lunch and beverages, our waiter Johnnie was the best. Thanks for the advice, it was a great trip!!
