Hey guys! My name is Benny, just bought a used 2010 Sailfish 218CC w a Yamaha 150. Seems like a great boat for the money and looking to learn more about it. One thing I have noticed so far that I'm not crazy about is the small cleats. Has anyone swapped out for larger cleats for tying up to a dock/ mooring? With my old Carolina Skiff I had one large cleat at the front center of the bow to tie up to the mooring. With the Sailfish there are 2 cleats on either side of the bow, suppose I could have two small lines tied to each cleat leading to one main mooring line? Appreciate the help!

Welcome aboard. I know I've read about using both cleats with a bridle for mooring which may be a good option. I don't moor, so it's only what I read - sorry. Cleat size on my boat works great for docking. Enjoy the boat!

Welcome
I dont recall my cleats being small on my 218, I had pop up cleats. Swapping them out may prove challenging if they are through bolted as access to the underside of the cleat in most cases is non existent.
