I finished a job in Kentucky early last week flew home Wednesday I had been up there freezing for three weeks. Not scheduled for anything else until I go to Florida on the 22. Nothing much going on this week so I leave work early Friday to take the wife to lunch. Had great plans for the weekend. Sat do some yard work in the morning in the afternoon uncover the boat and prep it for a nice joy ride Sunday with the wife and kids. The weather 80 , sunny and somewhat calm wind. I’m really looking forward to getting out on the water I haven’t had time to go since early December.
We are sitting in the car rider line picking the kids up from school after lunch and my phone rings and it’s my boss “I need you here in the morning to tool up and travel to South Carolina tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully you will be done in time to make the Florida job on time.” Well damn there goes my weekend plans and I probably won’t get any other time off at home until late May or early June. It sucks but I’m still very thankful to be working and busy.

Sorry you didn't get out on the water. Had so many years like that, but being retired is nice. Get out on the water when you can and teach the kids everything you can. Had youngest granddaughter out teaching her boating last week and it's so much fun to watch them soak up the knowledge while having fun.

Well things could be much worse if you were in CT. Overnight and the morning calling for wind chill temps at negative 20 degrees. WTF it was 70 here on Thursday.

I spent a week in Bristol Ct at the end of January lucky we finished two days before a snow storm hit. Our equipment was stuck up there a few days.

yous'guys...Seems like I spent a year one week in Minnesota. High for the week was -7. I'm not sure 'cause I was in the sauna at the time, but I think it went down to -23. Had to heat the car up before starting (plugged it in). Other than their two weeks of spring and fall they only have winter and mosquito seasons where I was. Didn't have wind chill reports back then, but believe me it was COLD.

89 today and tonight it’s dropping to 61 and only highs in the mid 70s next week. Hate the sudden temperature drops.
