Managed to drain my lower unit oils and engine oil today, only to realize I was 6 quarts short on Mobile One and apparently ran out of lower unit drain gaskets last year. So I ordered more gaskets and oil, awaiting their arrival on Tues so I can finish the job. Hate when that happens... Well you fuu+ed up big time,,, shame on you. Must still have a little covid going on. So we'll give you a pass this time. Lol Just nice to be outside working on our boat.

Hahaha I did f'up! Funny thing is I did the same damn thing last year with the oil. Ordered a 5 qrt jug and that was it. WTF?!
It's nice today damn near 60 degrees. Felt good to tinker a little bit today.
I'll get the oils done Tues, then do my water/fuel separators which are a PIA cause I gotta dump the gas from the old ones. Then I'll hit my anodes on my trim tabs and engine bracket, paint my tabs and should be close to done except for getting my anchor light swapped out/working and pulling props to grease shafts etc.

FYI, Walmart sells Mobil 1 in a 12 quart box with a tap for pouring. The price is $48 it's a good deal and half the plastic to toss away.

I get the 5 quart jugs from walmart about $24.
The 5 quart jugs makes it easy for me to measure since one motor take 5.5 quarts. One jug in one motor, one just in the other, then split a quart between them. Easy peasy

Glen, As you know I am a little north of you so I am a couple of weeks away from taking the shrink wrap off. It is such a liberating day to begin to tinker with the boat!!

Looks good Glen. Hope it works well for you. Got around to wiring the new light in today everything worked well. If I didn't already have it mounted I think that would have been a great idea to run a wire to the back side of the t-top where it can be easily reached.

Well after looking all over the internet for a light that would work and give me some extra height to clear over the radar, I ordered the 24" version of the light you bought.

It's well made, and you did a better job with your search than I did I never even came across one 24 in. I think what your ability once you get your hands on it if you want to shorten it it'll be an easy task.

Hey let's just say you saved me the pain and aggravation of buying the wrong lights and figuring out through trial and error that what I really needed is a 3 wire light. That's why these forums are great!
