I need to change mine I removed the handle and spun the ball valve 360° and it never closes does anybody know what size pipe that ball valve sits on. This was never right from day one, next time I have the boat on the trailer I can swap it out.

Clean that mess up. I want to say it’s 3/4 pipe.

That is some nasty looking shit in there! Lmao. It sure is,,,, and I was very hesitant about putting that photo on pay back. The area can only be seen if you can get your head inside that small access hatch. You know it will be sprayed and cleaned with bleach before I get in there.

I'm think 1" 1/4 pipe from it's looks. I was hoping to have part in hand before taking apart, not looking good.

I don’t know about breaking balls but I bet you bust some knuckles replacing it. Good luck.

Don’t envy you on that repair. Not much room for pipe wrenches or a second pair of hands. Take your time and lots of luck.

For the record, it's not a proper seacock; it's just a ball valve. It has to have a striaght wall thread on one side and a pipe thread on the other. this is what I ordered when I replaced mine.
52070 Shields 148 Series, VAC Extra Heavy Duty, FDA, 3/4", per Foot 205710 Groco, Bronze Ball Valve, IBV-750 241260 ShurFlo 244-3946 90 Degree Wingnut Fitting, 3/4" 264951 Elbow Swivel Fitting, 1⁄2" Female NPT Wing Nut to 5⁄8" Barb

I hope I never need to replace it, but thanks for the information. I looked at some pictures I took when the baitwell water didn't work good one day and I can even see the 750 marked on the valve on the 2018 245DC. Guess they've stuck with the Groco IBV-750 for quite a few years.

On mine the threaded pipe that the ball valve fastens to is at least an inch and a quarter OD. I think I may be able to remove the bait well pump and simply remove the ball valves replace the ball valve the 90 going to the batewell pump and that should be it. But with boats you know it could never be that easy something will happen.
