Landed two stripers today trolling around the bay bridge. And I hate trolling in the Chesapeake bay. One 38" and an undersized 28" that we released alive. Wish I could fish off shore like some of you do. Those pictures of off shore catches are awesome.

Nice looking post spawn fish, congratulations!
What was the color of choice? I may try to get out tomorrow, around the mouth of the Severn

Nice catch and release. In CT. we can keep only if fish are between 28"& 35". I always release.

Actually caught both on a gold colored spoon 150 yrds back. Report today was fishing the inside of the anchored ships outside of Annapolis.

Some nice looking Stripers there and great job on the catch and release! The only time I keep a Striper is when it is going on the grill that night otherwise back to swim for another day. I never keep one above 33" as I just don't think they taste good the bigger they get.

28 is the perfect eating size. I love rockfish esp fried rockfish BLT's.

Back when striper were plentiful we’d soak the smaller ones in buttermilk, then cut into strips, batter and fry. Hmmmm, delicious. Serve with hush puppies, slaw and beer.
They are beginning to come back in larger numbers and looking forward to having a striper fry night.
