Went offshore yesterday stellar day we went 9 for 10 with one knock down. The last hook up of the day was a double on the bars we landed both. A shark helped himself to this catch on the fight to the boat

Wow that's a nice size tuna. Curious what do people do with the flesh where the taxman chomped on it. I usually just cut around it, about a 1/2 inch off and use the rest of it. Last week I was cleaning a bunch of mahi and I had one nice size mahi that a shark cut in half. A charter captain that walked by me stopped and said that I am going to get sick if I eat the flesh from that fish, and recommended that I toss it. Do you guys eat the fish that has been bitten by a shark or barracuda?

That was the first time, I believe when it was cleaned, filleted my friend cut around the bite. I'll keep that in mind never thought about getting sick from that. And yes not sure which one of us got the fish but we ate it all. Thanks.
