Hi All, I know very little about Sailfish boats but am starting to develop a relationship with my 2660 WAC which includes understanding all her faults. Like any relationship, It going to take some work and since she's an older girl (2006) she's got baggage! I think I may have the only Sailfish in New Zealand. Not sure about that but have never seen one on the water or for sale before. Super happy with how it performs and looking forward to understanding more about the intracacies of the sailfish. Cheers

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! You guys have some awesome black marlin fishing there as I understand it. Hope you share some of your adventures here with us, because you and your SF are the only ones from NZ!

Welcome aboard!!! You also have great sword fishing. This should be a great hull for you from my understanding of your sea conditions. Enjoy in good health and calm seas.

Congrats jmack, I think you'll love the boat! I have the only Sailfish I've seen in Los Angeles, CA - a 2005 218 WAC.
My boat is a beast going through seas (that deep V) and takes them much better than a 23'+ Parker or similar. The trade off IMO is she rolls a lot, if your mate walks from one side to the other underway my boat will react. I have large trim tabs and need to use them.
That said, I feel very safe fishing 50+ miles offshore and have handled 4-6 ft seas without issue. Not fun, but no worries.
