Attachment DeletedAnd ready to go hopefully it works seems fine I won't know till later. anyone know what that small wire is coming off the bottom of the unit I never used it I'm wondering if it's for an additional switch up in the bow. If so that would be a nice addition when I'm out by myself makes it easier to be standing right there at the windlass

I looked it up in the schematic, it's for a chain counter. I believe you can add foot switches and I think there is a handheld remote that can also be used instead of the foot switches.
So, you were able to get the parts OK?

I bought a handheld remote controller on Amazon that works great and was only about $39. Simple to wire and mount and with 2 remotes.

It's easy to wire. Wish I could explain it but it was about 4 years ago. I remember it only took about 15 minutes and in my console the contactor is mounted on the inside of my console bulkhead right next to where the breaker/isolator for the windlass is on the outside. I can't find the instruction sheet that came with it but it's probably similar to the diagram in the V700 instruction manual.
You basically only have the two wires from the windlass and the two wires from the battery/breaker that make the 12v circuit and then the two wires from the switch that reverse the polarity. You use two wires on the contactor to make the circuit and two to reverse the polarity. Pretty sure that even Glen can do this one.
