Made it out yesterday for what might have been the NICEST day I have experience. The weather APP’s had the wind predictions at 5 knots and seas at less then a foot. Even NOAA’s report looked nice. Got in my buddy’s Parker at 5:45 am and headed west. Water was flat and calm as we watched lightning way off in the clouds. Cruised to 125’ of water it was so calm that 1/2 the spots we fished we did not need the anchor. The bite was good as we limited out on some nice Red Grouper. We released a nice 14” Scamp, 2 large Triggers, a couple small ARS, a couple small Vermilion, a couple small Yellow Fin and some grunts. We saw a couple small Tuna/Bonita breaking on the surface along with a bunch of Flying Fish and something that resembled a Cuda fallow one of our Grouper to the boat. The 10-20 mile area had a lot of nasty green and yellow algae on the surface but we only saw 4 dead fish. At noon we called it quits and I was back home by 2:00 as The Gulf was still like glass. Hey Rags, it must have been an awesome day, other than you heading East from St. Pete.........Unless you were visiting the East coast and didn't call me. LOL

I have to agree, someone years ago commented that if you don't have pictures then it never happened. We love photos!

Good job on catching fish rags. My buddy went this weekend and was greeted with flat seas and a box of grouper. I now have grouper fillets waiting to be cooked.

So we had several of the neighbors over to night for a get together. We had 7.5 pounds of Grouper Nuggets in the deep fryer. Man it was good. I do wish I did not have to resize all my iPhone photos though. Rag’s

The sport that keeps on giving. Just being on the water is great, catching fish is a blessing, then the eating is where it's at. Grouper is one of my favorites, I know you guys enjoyed it.

My MIL has a condo on St. Pete Beach. She said the smell and dead fish has got bad the last 2 days. They are racking and bull dozing the beach, but it is hard to keep up. The water at the shore is a nasty brown/yellow color. Rag’s
