I have a set of gunnel covers that came with my boat and I have no interest in them. I have a 2660 but I’m sure they’ll fit a 266 or a 270. I’ll give them to anyone that wants to pay the shipping. .

Are you referring to the fiberglass inserts with the SF logo?

Tried to upload a pic but it would let me. These are canvas and cover the gunnels from now to stern.

I'm trying to picture them - this is what we get around here on a shoestring budget. How do they attach?

I was able to upload them from my computer. This cover is one piece, ties in the back and uses beanbags as weights to hold in place. I only have about five of the beanbags but they can easily be replicated. The cover is used for those that have boats on a lift or in a slip and want to keep bird shit and sun damage to a minimum. I trailer my boat, have a full boat cover, and use the center console, engine, and leaning post when not using the full cover. Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh wow, I've never seen a cover like that before. Would've been nice to have on while my boat was in the water this winter.
Supposed to be mid 50'a and sunny on Sunday, out she comes and under cover she goes.

I would love something like those for my dark blue 275 DC just to reduce the sun fading on the hull sides. Yours probably wouldn't work on a dual console but if anyone has seen something similar please let me know. One option I've seen is a full top-down to waterline cover made by TTcovers but that is a mighty big piece of canvas for a boat my size...I would rather use the dual cockpit/bow area factory covers along with something just covering the hull sides as that would be easier to handle I think.

How does the beam compare to the 2660? It is designed to drape over and be held in place by the bean bags.

I think both models have the same 9 foot beam, and in fact the hull may be the same on the outside. It's the inside that would differ, particularly where my windshield on port and starboard connect to the side hull. I image there are snaps or something on the 2660 that mate with the cover to hold it down inside the boat while the beanbags dangle outside to keep tension on it, right?

No snaps. It has a few strings to tie in select spot. With a pair of scissors and boy scout sewing I bet it could be fabricated to fit. Looking at the pic in your bio the only area I se to reconfigure would be around or over the windshield.

I finally was able to look at your photos on a real computer instead of my phone, and now see the beanbags on the inside as well as outside. I would probably rework it a bit to connect with snaps or straps, maybe adjustable quick-release style to secure it and it would need some sort of modification to work in conjunction with my existing cockpit canvas front and back. I do have a scissors, snap tool to rivet new snaps in place, and motivation to try something to protect the hullsides, so if you are intent on getting rid of this canvas maybe we can connect sometime when your life allows it, either on the west side of the state or the east depending on what we can work out.

That works for me. With the Admiral’s surgery I’m pretty sure I’ll be home every weekend for the next 6 weeks a.

No rush, you've got your hands full for a while. Let's see how it goes and you make the call when you want to connect, maybe later in Feb or March.
