Interested in purchasing a Sailfish 218 / 236 cc this fall. Preferably with 175HP+ / 200HP+ and trailer. I’m in the Northeast but any locations other than west coast are probably ok.
Not too picky on details with upholstery or how clean the boat is. Normal wear and tear and cosmetic issues not an issue. Bunk trailer a plus.
But I need a reliable motor with less than 750 hours. Needs to perform well and have been serviced regularly.
Thank you.

Here it is... jacksonville.craigslist.org/boa/d/sailfish-236cc/6677166628.htmlMore hours but to be honest if I were buying a boat of this vintage I would prefer the motor to be used, 700 hrs is a dock queen. These motors like to be run not sitting. 1200 hrs is nothing for these motors if maintained. Just make sure to get the exhaust scoped and BUILD the cost of a new exhaust kit into the purchase price.

Yep!! That thing has my name written all over it. I’d have to sell the Vette to come up with the other 1/2 of the money after I sold my boat. Is a 266 worth 2x as much $. Rag’s

Yesterday the guy next to me was swapping speakers between his 236 and his new Cobia 301. Turns out he just took delivery of the 301 and had wanted his upgraded speakers from his Sailfish. He told me he was cleaning up the Sailfish to put it on the market - but didn't say when. Nice looking yellow 236. I checked this morning and didn't find any 236 for sale in Virginia, but it should be listed shortly. Boatel stored.

Thanks for the help guys. I was actually lucky and stumbled into a nice 218 in Rhode Island. Unless something weird happens I pin her up tomorrow!!! Fingers crossed.
I decided the 236 was a little more than I wanted to start with. I trailer a lot and solo launch. Chickened our a bit. 😂

You'll love the 218. It's really not that much different than a 236. And, I've heard from a few people that the 236 is a little wetter. but I can't imagine why.
