No pounding, just a smooth ride.

I am looking at a 26-29 foot DC for my family.. looking at the Sailfish 27.5DC as one of the options, less expensive than a pursuit, etc.... would you expect to get a similar ride in that model?

Greg I'm guessing we live nearby as I am in Cape Coral. Was out on Wednesday this past week, went through Redfish pass an on to School bus reef out in 60 foot of water about 15 miles out. 2 to 3 waves with 5 to 6 swells from the south. Underway I was thrilled with the ride, very predictable and easy to cruise at 25 to 30 without feeling like we were going to go airborne or out of control. 275 DC with twin 200 Yamahas. We didn't hold on the reef for longer than an hour or two though as the swells were getting the best of us, so we ended up coming in to fish the pass for a while. I can highly recommend the 275 DC hull in those conditions and only wish we had more stamina in the crew (including myself) to work the reef longer.
If you want a sea trial of the 275 hull PM me and we can do it.

I might take you up on that sea trial and will PM you, thanks a million.
