My son and I were fishing Walleyes in Northern MN with snow flurries on my 2004 266CC last Thursday! NW winds 15 to 25 knots, just nasty, but The Sailfish and the twin 225 Yamaha's handled it great... A lot of hand and toe warmers along with an occasional sip of Irish whiskey made for a memorable trip. Pictures to follow.
I'm looking forward to sharing the many DIY projects that I've completed and will be working on over the winter.
Thanks,

Thanks, wkendwarrior Wow, the only thing I liked about that was the sips of Irish Whiskey. What is this "snow" word of which you speak?
Actually, I'm impressed. I would probably have no interest in boating if I lived up there. I don't think of taking the boat out if it's under 60 degrees.

I live just outside of St.Paul, and trailer the Sailfish to Lake of the Woods(LOW), Canadian border, 3 times a year. Lake Superior(trout & salmon) at least 3 trips and Lake Michigan(salmon & trout) 3 trips. We love to trailer the boat to the St.Croix River (20 minutes) and let the Yamaha's enjoy even more Fresh Water. I'm lucky enough to live in a state with 10,000 lakes but most can't handle the Sailfish.

You live in a beautiful state. I made a trip up to watch Brett Favre play when he was with the Vikings. You have a lot of water, but the Mississippi River is not as big as it is down here. I walked across it up there and down here, you can't see the other side in places.

Yes, the Mississippi is much narrower up here, so if I have the need for big water I tow the Sailfish 2 hours north to " THE LAKE". Lake Superior. She demands the respect of any body of water that a Sailfish would float upon. There has been too many days of Trying to get out to Superior and the entrance looks like the Jupiter Inlet on a bad day. Those are the days that you remind yourself "it's only a fish"......
