Took my son and his friend near the mouth of Brazos River and found a nook with some calmer water this weekend. We weren't fishing, we were catching which is always a plus with kids. Probably 20+ sand trout, bunch of croakers and hard heads (of course), and one small Jack Crevalle thrown into the mix. Mostly on live shrimp and some cut bait. Kids were adamant that we keep the bigger ones to eat.

Good job! I know those kids had a ball, and those trout sure fry up and eat good.

Yep, sure good for kids to learn how to enjoy the water and the fish. It's always fun watching them catch fish and they'll never forget the fun they had.
Enjoy the good times on the water.

It is amazing watching a young kid catch fish. Friend of my will take his 10 year old daughter with us 35+ miles out. To listen to her when she catches the first keep Grouper or Snapper is great. She will give me hell and tell me it is my turn now, what I’m I waiting for!!! Rag’s
