Who's doing what. Not sure yet with this heat wave. 100 today with heat index of 112 degrees. I won't swim in this dirty brown water here, so the sandbar don't work so well.

Going out in the boat tomorrow for a local show, rafting up with some neighbors. The 4th is too crazy on the water around here, plus were dropping our two older boys off at the Naval Academy wrestling camp on the 4th. We may get some fountain to light off in the backyard for our 5 he old.

I will be flying from STL to PHL, then departing out of Delaware for a quick run to Europe and my favorite country that rhymes with Not-an-ideal-place-for-fireworks-astan. Hopefully back safe and sound in STL by the 11th. Stay safe everyone! Watch out for the crazies at the boat ramps.

Went out tonight for a show, rafted up with 6 boats, drank, kids swam, watched an awesome show, front row seats. We had a bit if a mishap because I was the first one there, I drop anchor and get good and set, 2nd guy pulls up and ties off, he drops his anchor basically straight down. Everyone else shows up including 32 Whaler Outrage, NOBODY else drops anchor. You see where this is going...
Everyone is having a good time, kids are swimming etc, next thing, I look up and the entire flotilla has dragged back approaching another boat, the other captains start dropping anchor, too late... We all had to pull anchor and while tied off to one another, in a synchronized fashion we put our boats in gear and moved forward to reposition ourselves. Phew!!!!
I am watching a storm on my radar app to the north of us work south. I'm telling people it's coming. Well one of the guys, our neighbor, is a delivery captain, as in delivers yachts and shit, he pulls up his app and tells one of the wives not to worry, stormz very rarely track south and his app has it going east...
So we watch a great show, then as soon as it is done, micro burst! Guess what?! The storm tracked south and we were on the front end. As soon as the winds hit, all of the boats that were watching the show, as in hundreds, pulled anchor, as did we, everyone was frantically untieing, then we steamed out and at the mouth of the river to th bay we were greated by the storm, pelting rain with a little lightening in the mix.
Fortunately I dropped the front windshield before we left, which kept the rain from hitting me in the face and the radar helped us weed our way through the boats. By the time we reached the dock, the storm had moved on and it was as calm as can be.
Fun night.
