With the closest Sailfish dealership being 360 miles from me, I'm grateful this website exists.
The Great Lakes do challenge even the best mariner and I'm glad to have a Sailfish under my feet when mother nature starts to kick up.

Michigan member here. Primarily on St Clair, Lake Huron and the larger inland lakes around Alpena. I used to spend a lot of time fishing St. Clair when I lived in Ohio. Used to go up to Mitchell's Bay a lot. Great walleye and smallmouth bass fishing in and around the Walpole Indian area. That was back in the 70's. Long time ago.

Hello Dirty D!
Nice Boat! I've got a brother living in Raleigh and needs help finding a good Boat Detailer? Can you recommend anyone? Do you trailer your 2660 or keep it in the water? Still Ice on the lakes up here.
Thanks!

Still Ice on the lakes up here. Thanks! Thanks, I don't know of any detailers in Raleigh but I have not tried to find one in the area. Plenty of them where my boat is at. I keep my boat on a lift down in Atlantic Beach, NC. Does he use his at the lakes around Raleigh or trailer to the coast?

Any 218/220 or 236 owners around Lake Michigan. Looking to upgrade and would like to ride on one before I start looking on the coasts.

I think the Great Lakes region belongs in its own category on this site. I just read that the region holds 34% of all boat registrations in the US, so to group them into a "everything else" category seems to be a bit salt-water centric in focus. It also seems like Sailfish is trying to get more marketing and dealerships into some of the Great Lakes, and I see regular write ups about their boats in magazines like "Lakeland Boating" which I have subscribed to for more than 25 years and which are focused on the great lakes boater market.
As a former Michigander and Illinois resident who kept his boat on Lake MI in Wisconsin waters and who now lives on salt water, I say lets give the Sailfish guys in the Great Lakes their own category here!
