Probably should start by checking the switch panel membrane it's 11 years old. The intermittent issue could be right there I'll try switching it to the fresh water switch.

My baitwell and sw wash down are tied together. Turn the head off inside the baitwell and the water diverts to the wash down hose As soon as I squeeze the handle on the hose nozzle......damn pump stops working Been that way a couple years. No reason why that should do that but it does Prolly a ground or the switch panel as mentioned. Who knows

I think at this point I need to swap out the panel. I'm just not sure about the issues involved making the switch.

I doubt you'll have any issues getting it to fit. If you're concerned with a switch turning on the wrong thing the fix is really simple; it's just a matter of swapping the 12 volt switched wire on the back of the switch to the right switch.

Really that easy, it's not the size that concerns me it's the wiring. I'll have to see if I can locate one and make the swap

The replacement should have a matching Molex connector on it. All you need to do is plug it into the Sailfish harness, there is no wiring to do. In the past there have been a few guys who turned one switch on and something else came on. The fix is really simple. All you have to do is pull the "12 volt switched wire" from the back of the switch and swap it to the correct switch. This usually takes only a couple of minutes to do.

That sounds perfect I just spoke with someone from sailfish they're out of stock right now he said he should have them next week and he also confirmed that it's all plug and play about 99% that everything works by just plugging in that's right up my alley buddy The cost for the panel is $156 which I think is fair I'm sure I could find one a little cheaper somewhere else but I'm not going to do that.

Yeah, so easy even a Moderator can do it! oh God you had to remind me of that I had almost forgotten about that. I told Chris he was a brave man to put me in that position.

I thought I was going to have to replace my pump as I couldn't get my live well to fill. However I heard the pump running and quickly looked to see if a line had come off and I was filling up the bilge - But no. After a few attempts at on/off/on/off it started to work. A few trips later same thing happened this time with the washdown, pump ran but no water, just gurgling sound.
I have since discovered the issue. Seems that there is possibly an air lock developing after sitting. If I turn on my bait well it won't fill unless I squeeze the trigger on the SW washdown for a few seconds, then all is fine. Conversly it seems the gurgling on the SW washdown is normal initially then it runs fine. I have 2 seperate switches and pumps for bait well and washdown but they share the same common high speed pick-up then branch off to the 2 different pumps. If your pump(s) are running you may need to bleed the system by operating other system.

New switch rocker panel ordered from sailfish. The old one is starting to show it's age.

Glad you got it working. When those old switch panels start going out, that's what you get. Works some times and sometimes not.
