Not bad. Weather not cooperating for fishing much of the time lately and Virginia finally sent me an email stating the boat has been registered and titled after 2 months. On a first name basis with the registrar. Anyway, today I got all the electronics for the autopilot installed and the wiper switches (they sent me dual switches). Warranty guy Gerald is checking to see if they sent me the right wiper assembly as what I got doesn't look anything like the pictures at Sailfish, or the diagrams for the wiper arm I can find online. I plan to swap out the second (passenger) wiper switch with one to control the AP so I have some way to turn it off. Guess it worked out getting the wrong switch assembly since I can't use the ACC switch until I figure out if its being used or not. Next is the big part of the AP - cutting the hydro lines, adding the AP to the lines, and bleeding them. Not fond of the idea of disabling a perfectly good steering assembly, but I'm ready for the AP to be working. Received the Taco 380s and outriggers yesterday. They'll get installed after the AP is complete. Tired of itchy arms from cutting fiberglass anyway, so it can wait. Haven't ordered radar yet. Shoot - the boat still doesn't have 20 hours on it. Most of my 'boating' time has been on a work rack. Now that I have the boat registered I can finally order a pelagic fishing license and I'm hoping to catch a few tuna when they come back through. Be nice if I've got the AP and Outriggers working before that happens.

I'm not fond of working with hydraulic fluid. The first AP I installed was on my own boat. I had no idea how big a mess the fluid can make and how rough it is on everything it comes in contact with.
So you've come up with a way to mount the outriggers? I've been wondering how you and abob would accomplish that. Anyway, I hope you get things ready for tuna fishing. Maybe you could go Wicked Tuna on us and be the first to install a 40 foot greenstick! Who doesn't want to look Pinwheel?!
Thanks for the update.

Looks like the mess I've been fighting. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SAILFISH CLEAN THEIR ACT UP WHEN IT COMES TO THE WIRING.

40 foot greenstick on a boat in a boatel? They don't look very collapsible to me. We did get some 80-180 lb bluefins here a few years back, but they are not regulars. It was fun to go after them as they came within 5 miles of the coast, but I didn't land any. Good news was this was when Virginia still had stripers in the winter (ask me about Omega taking all the menhaden sometime) and while bluefin fishing we caught and released over a dozen 30-45 lb stripers. Not as much fun catching striper on 8/0s, so after we started catching them we set up 1/2 of the lines running ballyhoo for bluefin and the rest for stripers with lighter weight equipment. No fish in the box that day, but a good day fishing anyway.
As for the wiring...I looked at some pictures I took of the wiring yesterday and realized a lot of the mess is mine. I plan to clean it up, but adding the radio, autopilot and windshield wiper wiring is part of the problem. I had to remove several of Sailfish's nice wiring clamps to cut out the console for the additions and then about doubled the existing wiring. Now, the buss bars are their fault and should have been larger. Even before my adds the grounding buss was too small.

I installed larger buss bars a few years back. Makes no sense to use the small one.

I have a 2017 275DC and love the boat but would like a few changes. Have about 100 hours on the boat so far.
- I agree with above comments about running wires through the hard top to the rear starboard support. Pain in the Ars! I did it but it was painful! - I get water dripping from the hard top speakers and I've put sealant on everything up top! - The "Upgraded" stereo with LED's is a joke and not worth the money. Jensen garbage speaker are shot after one 6 month season, Jensen amp is now cutting in and out. And the 20Watt Jensen amp they add for the bow speakers is a waste of money. Parts probably cost $700 and they charge $1500 for the system. I am replacing with all JL Audio as we speak. - Should have gone with twin 200 with Fly by wire, my mistake - All the hinges are gemlux but all my latches are southco, they should put all gemlux on this boat - Would love full glass to the top in the front like the Pursuit - Scuppers around the boat are below the water line, especially when loaded with fuel and fresh water. They get clogged and they drain poorly and the stainless rings are building rust. So you really need to bring your bottom paint up about 1" past the scuppers, Wish they were higher. - Engine flush would be great if it was a one connection in the boat and not on the motor! - Would love and integrated wash down hose instead of just hanging in the transom well - Bigger fresh water holding tank - Storage under the sink area collects water, need to make that dry - Storage Lockers in the floor and under helm and the cup/rod holders all drain into the bilge, would be better to drain over board - Shower in head drains into the bilge as well and quite honestly is useless, better to just have a regular sink or actually remove it and create better storage - Rod storage in center floor locker collects moisture and everything gets mold/mildew. The locker will only store small 5' rods because the locker ahead of it reduces the length. Maybe pass throughs into the forward locker? - A trash can, somewhere? - A set of speakers in the stern of the boat. One next to the fridge and one between the port aft facing seat and the flip down gunnel seat. - Rocket launchers across the aft of the hard top? - Wiring is very messy, I've started to clean it up as Ive added Radar, VHF, and started to reinstall the stereo system. - Cooler under the port aft seat doesn't stay cold for long, would be great if they could increase the amount of insullation or make it to fit a YETI 45!!, that would be very cool! - When ordering the boat with a Garmin 7612xsv, why would they not NMEA 2000 network the thing to the Vessel View and the Fushion radio that I ordered with he boat? I had to do that myself, it was easy, but the boat should be networked from the factory.

jtoys, I agree with most everything you've said. My Robalo drains to the bilge were the same, and I was hoping Sailfish had some improvements on that. Disappointed to find the cup holders and one of the sink drains go into the bilge. Seems they could easily have gone into the same drain as the sink and I may end up making that happen myself. However, my scuppers for the deck drains are well above the water. Of course I only have 1 engine, so that helps, but in the picture the tank is 3/4 full and the water tank is full. Boat probably has about 200 lbs of equipment on board. I guess with several adults it would sit a bit lower, but I'm not sure the scuppers would be underwater unless everyone was in the back of the boat.

JToys,
Lots of great ideas there. I'm sure over time, many of them will be done by you. Enjoy the new boat.

I dont mind the drains to the bilge for what little bit of water gets in there. Find it to be a pretty insignificant amount of water and the other benefit as I see it, it lets me know the pumps are working and doing their job.
The more important drains like the fish box drains and anchor locker drains go overboard.

I agree about the major drains going overboard. I don't know yet if the Sailfish will have the same problem as my Robalo had, but since the Robalo was dry stored in a boatel the water in the bilge and center storage areas never drained completely and caused mold. I had to clean it up 3 or 4 times a year and there were places I just couldn't access properly to clean. After washing the Sailfish on a rack soapy water will drain out - but not all of it.
Forgot to mention since it's a dual console 6 rod holders, 10 cup holders, center storage, console storage (I haven't verified this one yet), head floor drain and 1/2 of the galley sink all drain into the bilge. Due to a slow center storage deck drain (not blocked, just very slow to drain) a lot of water ends up in the center storage area. I'm hoping I can solve the slow drainage, but have only had time so far to make sure it isn't blocked.
On a trailer with the plug out, it probably wouldn't be an issue at all, but in the water or at a boatel water in the bilge can be. Got spoiled with my Albemarle. In over 10 years the only water in the bilge was when I washed out the bilge area. I don't expect my Sailfish to be dry, but I want to make it as dry as I can.

hookedup, those scuppers on your 245 sit high and and dry. My 275 is below the water line with filled with fuel. I guess I don't mind the rod and cup holders draining into the bilge, but the head drain and the center/forward storage drains? I also have major mold/mildew buildup in my floor lockers. I have just added some starbrite no damp bags and buckets to the storage areas under the helm and the lockers. I also open up al the doors and latches when I am sitting at the dock with the boat. Hoping that helps.
Hookedup, you mentioned a slow drain. When I first got my boat the sink in the galley would drain really really slow. I thought something was plugging it so I put a snake down there. Couldn't get it unblocked! Called sailfish and the guy told me to take the hose off the sink and pull out and twist it as it was probably kinked! Sure a shit, I did that and it solved the problem. I cut about 12 inches off that damn hose and its working perfectly.
I would also hope that Sailfish gives some vacation days with the boat !

jtoys, my sink drains slowly too. I'll try that with both drains and see if it helps. Thanks. On the Robalo I used a retardant that helped extend periods between cleaning. As for opening things up, I used to run the Robalo with the center storage open when trolling by myself (one of the nice features about Autopilots). Not sure how much it helped, but it couldn't hurt. Too dangerous to have it open with other people on the boat. I'm not sure which retardant I used (it's on the boat), but this one should help: www.westmarine.com/buy/3m--marine-mildew-block--5399944?recordNum=10Amazon has it too. Wish I had some idea for your scuppers. Other than moving them up a few inches I'm not sure anything would help. Since I've done a lot of bottom fishing in the rain not having the deck drain when the boat is at rest would be a real issue to me.

It would be nice if the 6YC gauge was either centered on the console (its shifted right 1.25") or on the bottom instead of the top. Even better if it wasn't there at all, but I'm not sure where it would be. You could fit 2 7616 (or similar) on the console if that gauge wasn't there.
Also the wiring is an abortion. I read a lot of forum posts over the years about the wiring. Everyone says everything works so I'm taking that on faith, but its a mess. I stuck my head in the console. I don't even have electronics installed yet and it's terrible. One day I might be motivated to clean it up. We'll see what happens. First I gotta get it home.
