Anyone on SBOF from NJ? I am out of LBI am frequently as north as Mantoloking and as far south as Ocean City on weekends from May til October. Seems like every summer I discover something new to do on the bay - would be interested to hear the wanderings of another NJ boater.

Hey guys, I'm in Seaside Park, trailer the boat in and out, also monitor 78, call for Sailfish Adventure. Not sure if you guys are on it, but another great website for local info is Barnegat Fishin Hole, good group of guys who share a lot of good intel. I split my time fishing the bay and the ocean, typically fish OCC and the inlet when I'm inside, and spend most of my ocean time either at the tires, GSN reef or anywhere 50ish feet of water from the inlet north to the end of IBSP. Bluefish in the bay in the spring also a lot of fun. Spend some days anchored up in areas around the sedge islands, and will frequently go to Captain's Inn, or used to go to the Cove before they closed, waiting to see if they re-open. Not a huge fan of Water's Edge, the pontoon boat just doesn't work for me, the water is usually way to choppy and the food isn't that good to risk getting another chip from the pontoon boat. I wish there were more on the water locations to eat, I'm going to try what used to be the lobster shanty at the mouth of the Tom's River by boat this summer for sure.

I know this is super old, I frequent a lot of Facebook private fishing groups that offer excellent intel without all the spot burning crying crap. I'm on BFH as well but haven't been for so long since I can only do so many forums/groups on a daily basis lol. I slip in Brick (Baywood) with a 2660 WAC. Been fighting the damn ventilation for a few years and that keeps me out of the ocean on sloppy days. No grip leads to temptations of pulling the damn drain plug. The wife and I this season spent 99% of the time in the ocean. We had the best year of fishing since having boats. We usually put it in late March to mid December, however this year it's being pulled this week due to one motor not going down. Hoping it's a minor issue. For years I would split the trips from ocean to bay and do clamming in Barnegat. I went there once this year and left immediately due to heavy traffic, Fluke drifters in the channels causing me to go around and losing the grips on the props very badly. I was trying the Rev 4's and they were worse than any other blade I tried. I intend to give this boat one last season and try wedges and new blades. Most likely I will go back to some clamming in Barnegat and anchor up in a few feet of water and feed the greenheads.
I will look around for you guys if you go out there. I have no name, just a light blue hull.

Funny you said you think you saw me - I thought I saw a cc sailfish when I was pulling out of Irwin’s today (wed) around 3:30/4:00 or it could have been on my way in around 6:00ish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
