I was wanting to see if anyone has put a Rhodan 84 trolling motor on a 2660cc. I’ve combed multiple forums looking. I’ve seen many bigger boats with this trolling motor. Before starting the process, I wanted to see if anyone has done it and there review.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to all

I'm also looking into adding the Rhodan to my 04 266. There was a Sailfish owner from the other site that added a bow mount. So I'm sure it can be done.

I have a buddy that put one on his Prowler 31 which is a big cat. He is a dealer for these trolling motors. I’m not real sure how good it works but he thinks it’s cool.

Id be interested in seeing how you guys mount them. Id consider doing it if it dosent require a lot of custom work to be done. Where will you put the batts? Forward deck storage?

I'm not being a wise guy but why would you need a electric trolling motor. Our motors burn so little fuel trolling whats to gain. I always thought it was a fresh water thing while trolling in heavy weeded areas.

The benefits are huge.

I haven’t used an anchor in 9 years for bottom fishing. My buddy that has a trolling motor in his boat can’t drive worth a crap. He thinks it will hold over his spot but he spends all his time fooling with trolling motor. I told him to learn how to drive a boat. He gets me to run his boat if I’m not on mine. I told him if the trolling motor went in the water, we were headed back to the dock.

So are you saying these motors are used to hold the boat against the moving tides. So what do you do with a tide running east or west with a south or north wind. Time to throw the hook I'd say. Is it a fad that really works It wouldn't have a chance in my area, well maybe no wind and a slack tide.

That’s the problem we have. Never calm, south east wind, and current going a different direction. Blink you eye and your off your spot a quarter mile.

They are really taking off down here on the northern gulf coast. I can’t come off the coin for the motor and three more batteries and battery tender. Plus getting one installed on a sailfish I believe would be a little more difficult.

Plus getting one installed on a sailfish I believe would be a little more difficult. There were 2 members that mounted them on their Sailfish boats. There was a lot of detail on the mounting and set up of the motor. I'm sorry I don't recall who it was . Maybe someone else does and can find the old post for you.
