You might be the longest SF owner on record! Wonder if I can pick up a new, 23’ Sailfish BMT loaded now for $36k? Close? No, but maybe in another 20 yrs if you still own your boat maybe SF will give ya one, kinda like that guy that drove his Toyota 1M miles. Hahaha

I bought my 245 DC last April, had a blast, the family loves it. Honestly, it's not as good for the fishing I do as my Mako center console that I had before that, but sometimes compromising is worth it. My 16 year old daughter came fishing with me more last year than in the prior 3 years combined. Also have a 15 foot whaler, have had a variety of boats going all the way back to a wooden garvey in the early 80's for any of the barnegat baymen out there

I feel the duel consoles are more of a wine and cheese boat than the fishing machine.Just my 2 cents

Had a 14' Aluminum Starcraft with a 15hp Mercury on Lake Champlain when I was a kid. Moved to Florida, had a Bayliner, Pursuit, Sea Fox and purchased my 04 Sailfish 236 in May 2016. Had a lot of fun adding accessories and getting it set up the way I want it. Definitely interested in moving up to a 2660 or 270 in the near future if I sell her. Absolutely the best boat I've owned, still love the old Starcraft though...lol, but it's the forum as much as the boat that has sold me on staying with Sailfish.

I guess I've had my 2005 218CC for about 7 or 8 years now. Funny thing is, I really knew nothing about SF Boats when I went to look at it. Been boating all my life from Formula to Seacraft to sportfishers. I've got to say this is one of my most favorite hulls. And, I've been a fan of HPDI's, so the 200 was a plus for me, not a negative. Probably spent half again as much on all new electronic upgrades and other gizmos to get it just like I wanted for fishing and cruising.
Don't plan on moving up or down anytime in the near future.

Bought my first one on 2011, a 2012 2680 and then trade it in to upgrade to a 2016 320. Still wondering who got my old 2680, it was sold in the keys, anyone???

I feel the duel consoles are more of a wine and cheese boat than the fishing machine.Just my 2 cents I agree a bit, but adding autopilot, outriggers and soon radar helps it be a better fishing boat. Already put a lot of smaller fish on board (haven't taken it offshore yet) and a few medium size fish. Took it out striper fishing several times, but only caught a few sharks. Baitwell and fish boxes are reasonable size for fishing and I always carry a fish bag for the larger fish anyway.
The only real drawback is lack of good rod storage and I'll figure something out eventually. 10 rod holders sounds like enough, but I like to have trolling rods and casting rods for everyone onboard when offshore and with my DC there is no rod gunnel storage. Those fold down seats are great for family affairs and it's what the wife wanted, but now the rods are either in a rod holder or in the way.
It's a compromise for sure, but still it's a fishable boat. Not as good for fishing as my 285XF Albemarle with its large wide open deck and 5x3x2 foot fish box, but the grandkids and wife never liked that boat. They love the DC and I guess that makes it worth not having enough rod storage and a smaller fish box.

I've always like the dual consoles in that there's usually much more cockpit area. CC's do look a lot cooler though.

For sure the dual console is a compromise. I've caught enough fish to last me a lifetime, so given the choice between fishing alone, or with friends, and being able to spend time fishing/boating with my family, it wasn't really much of a choice for me. The fact that all winter my wife and daughter both told me a bunch of times how much they love the boat, well, I'm happy with my choice. Two things that would really improve the fishability of mine would be a rocket launcher and a couple of rod holders in the bow. I've been toying with the idea of having a rocketlauncher made that I could bolt on with the bolts that hold the top onto the frame. I'd probably use that for my lighter rods, and put my heavier trolling rods in the existing rod holders. The bow rod holders are on my list of things to add this summer.
