I would also think 55k for 2006 may be a little high just because it's got 225's. We also know that year with the 225 have had exhaust rust and or rot issues. Be patient you'll find what you want and the price range you want if you're willing to wait. Another thing to remember photographs they always look good. Seeing is believing photographs don't mean s***.

He had the exhausts repaired 150 ago. He lives in my town so I'm interested to hear who he uses for a mechanic. This is the smaller of the two boats he owns. The other is a 42' Sport Fishing boat. In NADA I can't get it above 45k and that's adding in options that NADA says are already included...such as the engine but the standard is a single 223 and they don't allow to add a second engine. If it's in excellent shape and checks out with a surveyor I'd consider 38-42 but I don't think I'm getting any value over 40. Thoughts?

And at that point most 26’ with twins 20-25k more then a 23’ with a single. But start a new thread titled something like “ what do you think of this boat” give us all the details you have and any pictures. We all know new boat prices are sky high and that forces the used market up. Rag’s

I've never been a fan of NADA. With that said I've watched the sale of these boats for over ten years. They really hold themselves as far as value goes. Your thoughts for that boat of 38 to 42k are not realistic, I'm not trying to insult you in any way. In today's market 38 to 42k would be a fair asking price for a 236 or 2360 with twin 115's. If that boat with the twin 225's is VERY clean and gets a good review from a surveyor I would think if the seller is motivated to sell you MAY have 2 or 3k of working room. If he's like me and sticks to his guns he won't budge, if the boat is that clean trust me it will sell. I guess there's no harm of offering a very low price to the seller,he will just ask you to leave lol. Post the link to the boat so we can get a better look. Good luck

No insult taken here Finatic...I check my ego at the sign in. Condition: It's pretty clean. Couple of gel coat cracks by the rod holders on the transom. Deck was solid surprised not to see any spider cracks. Has close to 10 nickel-quarter size chips on boat between hull and deck. Boat needs a solid detail. Wiring in the bilge is a mess...for some reason they have four batteries. Hes the second and possibly third owner. He stated all everything electrical and mechanical is in good working order. Definitely needs a solid detail to bring out the beauty in the boat. Part of my struggle is that aesthetics are important to me because I like to keep nice things nice. But, I'm realizing the majority of boat owners do not. If I owned/or was selling that baby it would've shined and those cracks/chips/chunks would have been repaired. My thoughts wander to....what else might be overlooked. Then my son reminded me....Dad, he has a 42' Hatteras. That's the boat that gets the attention to detail. This boat is used for fun so mechanically it's well kept but they aren't wasting their time with making her look good. I guess I can't compare my old cream puff to these boats that have been fished hard. Price: I agree that NADA is off. They don't have an option for older boats with newer electronics or other upgrades. The Sailfish Catalog has twin 225s listed as an option but NADA has no where to add twins as an upgrade. This is the link to the 2005 266. www.boattrader.com/listing/2005-sailfish-center-console-103551651/?refSource=listing%20near%20you. We discussed price and he said he would drop to 50k, maybe a little more. He hadn't really researched the price other than looking at what others were asking. I showed him that I added everything I could, which NADA says only to add Options as all STD options and engines are already included in base price. Adding everything I could think of for it I could only get a little over 44k. Others like the one below are all under 50k. Below are two links I'm using as comps as well. They are on the west coast of FL and I may visit next weekend if still available. fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/boa/d/bokeelia-27-sailfish-2660cc-center/6867955146.html www.boattrader.com/listing/2007-sailfish-2660-cc-103541617/?refSource=standard%20listing Happy Easter and thanks for the input. It's greatly appreciated. Todd

I agree with all the above. Especially your comment about Aesthetics. Keep looking you will find the right boat. Happy Easter to you and your family.

I would strongly consider either of those 2660s over that previous generation 266 hull esp at that price and based on what you describe. Nothing wrong with a 266 hull, I just think the 2660 is just better and with a more functional console design. The 2660 also looks like a bigger boat side by side.
That orange 2660 looks to be very clean, stored under cover on the lift and priced right. 1100 hrs isnt anything for those motors and it being a 2006 I would rather buy a boat with motors that were used some regularity then a low hour boat that just sat on the lift most of its life.
I would be concerned about the gelcoat condition of the slate blue under that wrap. That costs money to remove and likely required a good detail.

Thanks for the input guys. I too was a little concerned with the wrap.....was it covering an ungodly site? Didn't know a detail would be needed for removing the wrap. I put a text in earlier to the orange 2660. I'm definitely interested if it looks as good in person as it does in pictures. Just have to make sure the balancers were replaced. I'm also thinking that the timing belt should have been done within the 1000 hours? It sure helps having people to run these questions by. I appreciate your time.

I was just saying that slate blue gelcoat underneath will likely require a good polishing. You will still probably want to pay someone to remove it or better yet ask seller to and make it a closing condition the gelcoat underneath needs to be in good condition.

Like Chris stated I to like the layout of the 2660 over 266. Especially in the console layout.

Had a buddy with a 266 w/twin 150’s and always thought power was only ok. But I was comparing to my 2360 with twin 150’s. Always thought the new 200’s would be perfect on a 2660.
