Very nice boats! I'm really into their 31 tournament.

Here's another one. Seems like a very versatile boat.

Very nice boats. I was eyeballing those a few months ago. To rich for my blood though.

Looks like a well-thought-out boat with a lot of nice detail not enough free board in the back of that boat for me. I got spoiled with the height of the sailfish free boards and secure feeling. I drive past a new I think it's a 25 plus or minus a little, nice looking boat but it sits so low in the Stern not my style.

sofla... I knew I had seen that boat before. I remembered the trolling motor and power pole seemed odd on an offshore boat. That's photo I saw.
I agree, nice boat. But that guy, uh, really needs to, uh, take, uh, a speech, uh, lesson.

They were targeting swordfish off Miami. Never know what you're gonna drag up when fishing 1700ft down in the Gulf Stream.

On a shake down run they caught a 600+ blue fin 20+ hours to land Why do you think it took 20 hrs to land. Is it because of lite tackle. I guess fish of that size one should be fishing with 130's reels. I can't imagine a battle lasting 20 hrs. I'd take the rest of the season off after that. Lol.....

Tom, are you sure it was 20 hours? ...or 20 miles? If they hooked it off Hollywood and landed off Boca, that's a bit over 20 miles.
They were geared up for swords, using an LP S1200 reel. Probably 65# braid, which is normal for that type of fishing. I don't know the story, but sometimes those bigguns just don't want to leave their comfort temp zone below 500ft or so. In the Gulf Stream current, it's not hard for a big fish to simply swim into the current and plane themselves at depth with little effort. Fear of losing a fish of a lifetime keeps the angler(s) from pushing the drag too high. Swords are known for soft mouths, and hooks pull out of more fish than are landed. They probably didn't know it was a tuna until the endgame.
