I fished with the Rhodan this weekend and will never fish without one again. Absolute game changer. Well here is how i did it. I didn't want to move the nav light. I'll just detach it if i run in the dark. Got the bracket from Rhodan. cut it off for anchor locker access when Rhodan is removed. Ran wires to console and used a trolling plug mounted in the anchor locker. inside the anchor locker is a ledge of sharp fiberglass. i split some flexible conduit and used it as chaff protection. Bought the ram mount claw attachment to connect the rhodan direct to railing when stowed instead of drilling more holes. Calibrating and testing tomorrow offshore. Trolling plug amzn.to/2X07bhV4 gauge wire amzn.to/2FDXxancrimper amzn.to/2FssI8j50A circuit breaker amzn.to/2WZy1lFRam mount claw attachment. amzn.to/2RwmWqV

Was there no way to adjust the orientation to miss the nav light? I'm guessing not and have the orientation line up so when you bring the Rhoden up to park it, it will line up with your bow rail?
If you don't mind sharing, how much was the whole setup? Sounds like you did all the install yourself?

Wow that's awesome! Sure beats drifting and back tracking trying to find the spot!

Maysport. I did the install myself. It would have taken a lot less time if someone would have posted all this! Could probably do the install in a few hours. I tried every possible way of mounting for clearance of nav light and anchor locker. This was the best i could come up with to be able to clear the bow light, proper clearance at rubrail, and able to support it with the ram mount when stowed. I mounted The aluminum extender bracket right beside the pop up bow light. I can still use the bow light if i take the Rhodan off. Rhodan itself was around 3k. I had some batteries to use for now which helped keep cost down. Probably another 5-600 for the yandina trollbridge 36, circuit breaker, trolling plug, wire, crimps, etc. After fishing this past weekend... worth every penny! Was there no way to adjust the orientation to miss the nav light? I'm guessing not and have the orientation line up so when you bring the Rhoden up to park it, it will line up with your bow rail? If you don't mind sharing, how much was the whole setup? Sounds like you did all the install yourself?

This has really interested me in getting similar setup. Thanks for posting. Do you run the rhodan of you existing batteries ?

Any tips on how i get wires run from my console to the anchor locker on my 220cc? I was thinking a long piece of flat bar to push a pigtail through but I am not sure what bulkheads and insulation may be in the way.
update: problem solved; very easy, lots of air gap between hull shell and deck; no transverse bulkheads in the way.

Dumb question....
When the Rhodan is deployed, does it keep your orientation intact? Or is it more like a traditional anchor where you will swing down current?

So "defree998', how did you run the wire's to the bow or CC? Where did you get access? Where do you have your batteries? Any Pics?
Thanks,

So I just bought a 84” for my 2660. I’m planning to put the batteries in the forward fish boxes as they’re just storage now anyway plus a shorter cable run. Any thoughts or ideas for running cables from the bow locker to the fish boxes? Thanks in advance!

Bringing this back to the top. I finally got my Rhodan in late summer of last year. Got it installed and used in a little bit before winter set in.
Getting it out this year and love what it does. Things a beast. Yesterday we were using it in 15-20 mph winds with choppy Lake Michigan waves. It was able to hold and move into the wind. My concern is the bow / anchor locker was flexing A LOT. I have a mounting plate on the top and bottom. The mounting area wasn’t the concern, it was moving the whole area!
I think I have a plan to run some braces from the top of the locker down to the sides. I’m wondering if anyone else has done something similar that I may learn from other successes or failures.
Thanks
