Thanks for the links. I could never convince the wife into orange. Tried already with a 2008. The 290 is double my budget and I looked at the 270. Nice boat but it had two gelcoat repairs. One of them seems pretty significant around the starboard drain wells.

Opinions, guidance, and thoughts welcomed.
Is 85k too much to pay for a 2009 2860. Twin 250s with 640 hours, Taco Grand Slam Outriggers, 12" Garmin, Fusion stereo, Auto Pilot, Radar---not sure it works, Go Light, Bow cushions with back rests, Aft seat with 2 jumper seats. Boat cover and Trailer are also included. Boat has some minor gelcoat chips around the bow and a "B" that either needs to be buffed out or repaired with gelcoat. Bottom hull of boat has the typical trailer scrapes. Needs some other parts like two magnets that hold the fish boxes in open position, one of the SAILFISH letters is missing, and all gunnel grommets on both sides are missing.
I'd give the overall condition of the boat a B to a B+. I'm pretty picky. An A in my book means topside and bottom are meticulous, all mechanical options work and the boat would have no gelcoat issues. And everything would shine like new.
I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks, Todd

That sounds like normal shape of a 10 year old boat. Mine is a 2008 bought new in 2010 and it sounds about like mine. I have more hours on motors. I have seen this boat go for as low as $70k and as high as $85k. I would say not a steal but you would be getting a lot of boat for the money. Sure can’t touch a new one for that.

For the condition described sounds a little rich to me, but boat prices have gotten crazy.

No. I looked at that online but the interior didn’t appeal to my wife. I was looking at a boat in Islamorada. Been a weird experience with the dealer. I decided not to go through. The dealer stood firm on his price even with the imperfections. I’m not paying top dollar for a boat that’s not in perfect shape. I told him I’d pay his price if they’d bring it up to par but he said he’s had full offers as is. Still being patient and waiting for the right rig to come along. Thanks for the feedback. Todd
