Had a chance to fit some leisure in during a recent work trip to the east coast. Fished a local flounder tournament in South Jersey with some of my best buds. The blow has been relentless the last several weeks, but the fish gods cooperated for my visit. We fished out of Shark River and had relatively great conditions with a bit of cloud cover. Got out on my buddy's Regulator 26 that he uses for his Young Blood Guide Service. Almost had a 5-man limit on the boat. I was able to bury the hook in a 7# and 6# fluke that sealed the win in the tourney. We had the heaviest single fish along with the heaviest 5-fish stringer. Great day on the water with some buds. Man I miss my 2660!

Dam now that's a nice day at work. How did you like that 26 regulator, sweet boat. Love it! There is a reason it is often considered in a tier of its own. The deadrise and sheer weight of the hull makes for a fantastic ride. I don't think we had a drop of water land over the gunwale the entire day of fishing. He is running the trusty 200 HPDIs, but I have heard it opens up even more with F300s hanging on the back. It is definitely on my possibles list when I am back in the boat market.

Yeah the 26 is often referred to as a battle wagon I hear they're incredible. I wanted one in the worst way but couldn't justify the extra 40K plus dollars for that boat.

For the area I fish now and the lack of fish that's in the area my boat is a perfect fit for me
